The four decisions

Labeled buttons perform the same actions. VoiceOver users can also use the photo's custom accessibility actions. At large accessibility text sizes, use the buttons so scrolling doesn't compete with swiping.

Frequently asked questions

How do I undo a decision?

Tap Undo to reverse a recent keep, skip, queued-deletion, or album decision. Rollfolio remembers up to 50 recent actions. Album undo removes only membership added by Rollfolio; an item already in the selected album is not removed.

Confirmed deletion is different: Rollfolio cannot undo it. Use Apple Photos → Recently Deleted when recovery is available.

How do I safely review deletions?

Open the trash count or Review Deletions. Tap thumbnails to select items, then choose Remove selected from queue to keep them. Selecting alone does not keep an item. To delete, clear the selection, tap Delete items, and confirm. Apple Photos handles any final system confirmation.

Declining or cancelling keeps the queue. Inaccessible or read-only items may remain queued but be excluded from confirmation. Restore access or remove them from the queue. Storage figures are estimates, not a promise of immediate space recovered.

Why can't I see my albums?

Apple's Selected Photos permission doesn't expose the user's album inventory. In Settings → Apps → Rollfolio → Photos, choose Full Access to organize into user albums and use Unorganized. Managed-device or Screen Time restrictions may require help from the device owner or administrator.

Why does a photo or video say it's unavailable offline?

Its original may only be stored in iCloud. Rollfolio intentionally disables cloud downloads. Open the item in Apple Photos while connected, let it download, and return to Rollfolio. You can still keep, skip, or queue an unavailable accessible item.

Why are there no items in a filter?

Already reviewed items remain reviewed across filters. A valid filter can be empty. Try All Photos, explicitly revisit Skipped, undo a recent decision, or reset progress if you intentionally want to review items again. Unorganized excludes regular accessible user albums, not smart collections like Favorites.

Will my progress survive closing the app?

Acknowledged decisions and the queue are saved on your iPhone. Changing review scope or order starts a new session summary, but your previously reviewed items and queued deletions remain remembered across filters.

Wait for the next item and updated counts before force-closing during a test. An action interrupted before its animation and save finish can leave the original item ready for review. An interrupted Photos mutation is reconciled on reopening, rather than blindly repeated.

What does Reset Review Progress do?

It clears review and undo history so processed items can be reviewed again. It preserves your deletion queue and does not change the actual Photos library, undo existing album memberships, or restore confirmed deletions.

Does Rollfolio copy, upload, or analyze my photos?

No. Originals stay in Apple Photos. The app stores review decisions and identifiers locally, not photo or video copies. It has no AI, advertising, analytics, publisher server, or account.

Does Rollfolio support videos and Live Photos?

Yes. All Photos includes accessible photos and videos; Videos reviews videos separately. Open the media control, then tap Play to start a locally available video. Pause or Done stops playback. The player disables paused-frame object/text analysis and Picture in Picture. Live Photos use Apple's native Live Photo view. Cloud-only resources must be downloaded in Apple Photos first.

What happens if I remove the app or install under a new bundle ID?

Removing the app removes its local history. Photos changes already confirmed remain in Photos. A different bundle ID has a separate installation, sandbox, and permission; it doesn't automatically inherit previous progress. Keep the original installation if you need its saved queue or history.

Keep personal information out of public issues. Include your app version, iPhone model, iOS version, permission state, steps, and expected result—not photos, videos, identifiers, locations, or your personal contact information. If private discussion is necessary, ask for a private contact method first. A GitHub account is needed to submit an issue.
