Your library
stays yours.
Effective October 12, 2026 · Publisher: Aasir Valji
Rollfolio organizes your Apple Photos library on your iPhone. The app does not require an account or collect your photos, videos, or review history for its publisher.
Your photos and permission
Rollfolio requests Photos read/write access only when you choose to grant it. Full Access enables review and organization into user albums. Selected Photos access limits review to the items Apple makes accessible; album organization requires Full Access. You can change or revoke permission in iPhone Settings at any time.
Your originals remain in Apple Photos. Rollfolio requests temporary previews and uses Apple's native video and Live Photo APIs. It does not write separate media copies, upload photo content, perform AI analysis, or send media to a server. In-memory previews are discarded as needed.
Rollfolio disables network access for its PhotoKit media requests. If an original is only in iCloud, download it through Apple Photos before playing or reviewing that original offline. Apple Photos and iCloud may independently synchronize your library, including changes you confirm.
Information saved on your iPhone
The app stores Photos asset identifiers, review decisions and timestamps, album identifiers, settings, recent album selections, a deletion queue, and up to 50 recent undo actions in a protected local database. A local operation journal helps reconcile interrupted Photos changes.
This database contains no photo or video files, extracted location data, image analysis, or cached thumbnails. It is excluded from device backups and is not synchronized to a publisher service. The publisher cannot access this information through the app.
Your controls and retention
Review history remains on your device until you reset progress or remove the app. Resetting review progress clears review and undo history but preserves queued deletions. Removing the app removes its local progress; it does not undo album changes or deletions already confirmed in Apple Photos.
A left swipe queues an item; it does not delete it. Deletion is requested only after you review the queue and confirm. Confirmed deletion cannot be undone by Rollfolio. Apple Photos controls Recently Deleted and recovery availability.
Local history is specific to an app installation and Photos library. Changing a bundle identifier creates a separate installation and does not automatically transfer history or permission.
No tracking or app analytics
Rollfolio has no advertising, analytics, third-party telemetry, tracking identifiers, AI service, account system, or publisher backend. It does not request camera, microphone, contact, tracking, notification, or separate location permission. If existing photo coordinates are displayed in the information view, they are read locally from Apple Photos without geocoding.
This website and support
This website is a separate, static GitHub Pages site. It adds no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, forms, cookies, or browser storage. GitHub states that it logs visitors' IP addresses for security when serving GitHub Pages, whether or not visitors are signed in. See GitHub's Pages documentation and GitHub's privacy statement for its practices.
Video and image files on this website are served by GitHub only when your browser requests them. App links to this site open only when you tap them; visiting it does not send your Photos library or review database.
If you choose to open a support issue, GitHub processes information you submit under its own policies, and public issues are visible to others. The publisher may use your message to respond and troubleshoot. Do not include photos, videos, asset identifiers, precise locations, or other private information.
Contact and changes
For support or a privacy question, contact the Rollfolio maintainer through GitHub. A GitHub account is needed to submit an issue, but not to read this website or use the iPhone app. If a request needs private discussion, ask for a private contact method before posting sensitive details.
Material changes will be reflected in this policy with an updated effective date. This policy describes the current local-only app and its separately hosted website.
